Hi, my name is Jaci and I am a qualified Dru Yoga teacher and member of the Dru Professional Network (DPN).

Practicing yoga has had a transformative effect for me and my life and I want to make it accessible to each and every person who would like to experience the benefits for themselves, regardless of age, fitness level or experience.

The aim when I teach is that you learn to listen to and work with your body as well as your mind, developing the capacity to be your own guide and teacher rather than simply copying me. Therefore classes have a workshop feel and there is usually more talking than you're likely to experience in other classes.

Several of the students who regularly attend my classes are women who chose to practice yoga as a means of improving their physical and mental health after illness, surgery or years of inactivity. And many come as a means of preventing ill health. (I'm an ex-nurse, massage therapist and aromatherapist). Quite a few were new to yoga, starting with the drop-in class, or 1-2-1 sessions, before progressing to the regular class because of the benefits they continue to experience.

As well as the general Dru yoga classes listed here, teach Embodied Yoga Principles (EYP) and offer one-to-one Dru & EYP lessons in Kings Heath and Moseley. I also provide private classes (1-2-1 and group sessions) at venues throughout Birmingham.
