According to the ancient healing science of Ayurveda, every living and non-living thing in the Universe is made up of a combination of 5 basic elements – Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. They manifest in the human body as 3 basic principles or subtle energies known as doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

On this course you with gain an in-depth understanding of the 5 elements and the 3 doshas and their positive and negative aspects. Promote health and wellbeing from an Ayurvedic perspective–by giving individual consultations and treatment advice to clients on diet, lifestyle, yoga, meditation, herbs, spices and Ayurvedic therapies according to their specific constitutions or imbalances.

Over the first module you will discover this gentle, rhythmic massage using a variety of techniques (full body front and full body back) to stimulate and enhance skin tone, detoxify and revitalise the entire body and induce deep relaxation. It uses warm herb-infused oils specifically tailored to individual needs. The combination of herbal oils and gentle warmth makes the massage a deeply restful and rejuvenating experience. Through Ayurveda massage the herbs in the oils are taken directly into the body in a powerful and relaxing way.
