The Algarve retreat gave me the best gift – to finally believe in myself. I enjoyed walking on the beach every morning to watch the sunrise – to be so close to the sea was wonderful. I loved working with the Dru teachers and appreciated the mentoring sessions – I felt I let go of a lot of personal issues. Thank you!

Excellent masterclass at a lovely venue. I've wanted to learn EBR8 for a long time. It was well worth it and I've enjoyed catching up with friends and colleagues.

I am just working on the spine assignment. Apart from really enjoying all the research and information, I had to smile, because whilst writing about the spine and common back problems I have discomfort in my back (chronic) and sitting in one position, not as relaxed as I would like, is aggravating it. I have been taking frequent breaks, doing the Dru stretches, tri spinal release, marjariasana, bringing my knees up and rocking my spine which I love, standing forward bend and squats and when I finish studying each day I do a long relaxation. I have been drinking lots of water as well. I love the fact I have the tools from the Dru to help myself and have the chance to put it all into practice. It's all made such a difference to my back, neck and rest of my body. From a happy yoga student!

The Spirituality of Yoga course allowed me to connect back in with my self at a time when the external world had become very challenging and uncertain. Through the various tools and teachings from the course, It reminded me of the strength that lies within and the stillness that is there.  This  benefited me on a individual level but also my family and my colleagues and clients as I was able to share a sense of clarity and calmness back  into the workplace.

Coherence / flow / good management / joy / serenity. Delighted to take part and learn some new and exciting interpretations of yoga. Very happy that you opened this masterclass out to non-Dru yoga teachers.

My experience of The Spirituality of Yoga Course was amazing.  The tutors were so warm and friendly and made the content really accessible.  The course was extremely well-planned and built up step by step.  As it was quite intensive, I think if you were new to yoga and meditation you might have needed a longer time between sessions for absorbing and practising.  However, as we were able to download the sessions (a wonderful gift), there is plenty of time for replaying and reinforcing the learning.   I enjoyed every minute of the course and am very grateful that I had the opportunity to take part.

Dru invites you to work at a much deeper level, it is an inside out journey. When you arrive at that place where you realise the commitment required, jump in, embrace it, live it and breathe it.

My visit to Dru yoga has helped me grow
How to live my life and how to know
A simple act of caring and kindness can create an endless ripple
With goodness, well meaning and sincere feelings
A full heart for sharing and how to be more caring
Now more awake with my eyes wide open
It's helped a part of me which has lain dormant
It's been hidden because of life's torments
Looking at things now with new expectations
I can offer more value to my friends and relations
A happier and more contented person inside
Dru has helped provide me with some expertise
How to live life to the full, enriched and at peace

However long you have been practicing yoga, this was different and very thoughtful - although previous experience helped. The dance session had a beautiful flow - it almost breathed.

We had a really great day yesterday.  The mixture of yoga, relaxation, cooking demonstrations and eating was just right.  It has left me wanting to know more about doshas and how yoga and food can balance someone.  We also loved the partner poses, beautiful and fun.

Thanks so much for such a wonderful weekend. I really enjoyed connecting with you all again.

I know a lot about the topics discussed but hearing them spoken about with such passion by a group of experts really helped to clarify a number of points I was not completely sure about. I found it very motivating and gave me a greater understanding of why I need to do certain practices. I do most of the practices already so I don't really need to add anything. I would like to know more about the herbs that might be useful for me specifically but I would need a personal consultation for that.

Thank you for such an information packed and motivating weekend. I am looking forward to looking all the materials in the course.

Ayurveda Retreat

Booking myself on to the Dru Ayurvedic Weekend Retreat is one of the best spontaneous decisions I’ve made in a while. I have a reputation for leaving things until the last minute, in this case I booked my place just an hour before it began! I guess that’s one of the benefits of an online course - I didn’t have to physically get there, just make sure I was out of my PJs before the Zoom meeting went live!!!
After a few weeks of lockdown and spending perhaps a little too much time reading and watching the news, this online retreat gave me a much needed boost of positivity. It was wonderful to connect with all the other people who were attending, to see so many smiling faces, some new and some familiar.
The content of the course was superbly presented - a good balance of ‘live’ face to face information sharing, question and answer sessions, some ‘live’ yoga, meditation and chanting and then a series of pre recorded videos to watch. We were given plenty of short breaks throughout the day and a nice long lunch break, time to eat, read our notes, watch the videos and get outside for some fresh air.
Alongside the Zoom live video there was excellent support for anyone with technical problems, via the chat box, email or telephone. The chat was also a place to ask questions and share information.
The Dru Team did a great job of putting this weekend retreat together and I wouldn’t hesitate in joining them for another online course in the future. Obviously if I had the choice I’d prefer to be there in person, but this really is a great alternative until we can do that.

If I could tell myself one thing when I started the course, it would be to Believe. To believe in me, in the training, in the higher goal. The course has given me confidence in myself and shown me that I know more than I think, and am more capable than I ever thought. Inspiring individual both tutors and students have given such support to me and it has been truly a life changing experience.

The Spirituality of Yoga Course

This was a coming home to the beauty of Dru. The energy, commit and pure love of the Dru team is such an inspiration. Not only a powerful heart opening course, grounded in sound solid practices but also surrounded by so much support with Facebook / Instagram posts from front line team and participant group and so much more web  ‘lockdown” support. The Dru team both seen and unseen have worked so hard to but this life changing program into action in a very short time and with a no doubt very steep technical learning curve to climb. I wondered how it would feel at an energetic level to participate in an online course, but wow it was also as good as being at Snowdon Lodge (Well OK it a shame Jalaram couldn’t be downstairs to make us lovely lunches!).  Dru you guys are AMAZING.... Thank you   Thank you   Thank you.

Thanks to all the Dru team for such a wonderful 3 weeks on the Spirituality of Yoga course.  I thank you with so much gratitude for the knowledge and wisdom shared by all teachers.  To feel the richness of the love and support was quite profound. Finding your inner peace and stillness is your natural state and this course gave you the tools through yoga, meditation, mantra and nature to help with your spiritual quest.    It was also so beautiful to be part of a community from all over the world with people of like mind who want to make a difference on our amazing earth. Namaste.

Alison Hayward

Dru yoga teacher. Devon
The Spirituality of Yoga course has been particularly helpful to me in anchoring my morning wellbeing practice.  I had already started doing a short morning walk in nature, but this now involves me walking barefoot on the grass for part of my walk, and being able to do some yoga outdoors in what has become my sacred space.  This has lifted my mood and I find that I am in a more contented state than previously. Even if there are just little things that I might do some days, such as lighting the candle before I do my practice, selecting a vision card and pausing at odd moments through the day, these small actions are very beneficial and enable me to be not so hard on myself.  I am steadily reviewing the videos but not rushing this process as it takes time for these practices to be understood and appreciated.  Having the ability to watch the sessions repeatedly is tremendously helpful in embedding the learning.   I am enjoying the process of this learning, knowing that I can approach this in a relaxed way and pick out a different session each week or so to review and practice.  I have appreciated the structure of this course being over 3 weeks, where we were able to practice the learning from each session in-between.   It has avoided feelings of being overwhelmed with the amount of content and therefore not really taking anything in because I don't know where to start. There is much more for me to do with the practice that we have been introduced to and this will take some time and it will require some courage and exploration outside my comfort zone, but that is ok.  I know that I can seek help with this as and when I need to.
