Reflexologist, Axminster, Devon, UK

I liked the gradual building of positions into a sequence, so that you felt you had mastered each position before it became a sequence, which was very relaxing and confidence building. The workshop overall was friendly and welcoming, whatever level you are, whether you are a beginner or teacher. I was able to achieve positions I previously hadn't been able to because of the slow, precise instruction.

Nice sociable, friendly day. Great mix of activity and relaxation - positive atmosphere. I enjoyed all aspects. Hope I can remember some things to add to my yoga practice. The workshop was well organised and planned - all running very smoothly. All teachers very enthusiastic, confident and reassuring.

Lovely pace. Plenty of time to explore posture, discuss the philosophy and subtle energies and chat with other yoga teachers. Really enjoyed it.

The Spirituality of Yoga Course was a beautiful oasis of calm in an otherwise quite stressful time. I felt held and nurtured by the tutors and the practices they offered us. The group developed into a real community of people upholding, supporting and gently challenging it's members to make a commitment to ourselves and our spiritual growth.

It has inspired me to be more disciplined with my practice and in addition, to think more deeply about its effect on me at all levels; I’ve learnt so much! The course has also enabled me to continue the process of unwinding, freeing up and reaching out to life!
I have gained more knowledge – I feel more confident. It’s given me a much wider vocabulary to take students into other koshas, to vary my teaching and experiment more.

I enjoyed everything about this workshop. Nice to be on the receiving end. Padma's introduction to the koshas. The very interesting technique for the diaphragm and diaphragmatic breathing. The pear tree partner work and flowing individual sequence.

Dru Yoga is like an onion, peeling the layers to discover who you are and want to be!

It’s like a spider's web - you can delve into so many facets of physical practice, to the food you eat, to your emotional well-being. All ending in the an amazing feeling of well-being.

Ayurveda Retreat

Booking myself on to the Dru Ayurvedic Weekend Retreat is one of the best spontaneous decisions I’ve made in a while. I have a reputation for leaving things until the last minute, in this case I booked my place just an hour before it began! I guess that’s one of the benefits of an online course - I didn’t have to physically get there, just make sure I was out of my PJs before the Zoom meeting went live!!!
After a few weeks of lockdown and spending perhaps a little too much time reading and watching the news, this online retreat gave me a much needed boost of positivity. It was wonderful to connect with all the other people who were attending, to see so many smiling faces, some new and some familiar.
The content of the course was superbly presented - a good balance of ‘live’ face to face information sharing, question and answer sessions, some ‘live’ yoga, meditation and chanting and then a series of pre recorded videos to watch. We were given plenty of short breaks throughout the day and a nice long lunch break, time to eat, read our notes, watch the videos and get outside for some fresh air.
Alongside the Zoom live video there was excellent support for anyone with technical problems, via the chat box, email or telephone. The chat was also a place to ask questions and share information.
The Dru Team did a great job of putting this weekend retreat together and I wouldn’t hesitate in joining them for another online course in the future. Obviously if I had the choice I’d prefer to be there in person, but this really is a great alternative until we can do that.

Dru Yoga has positively changed my life in all areas. I used to have some sort of block, a kind of disconnect with life. Now everything just flows and I can connect with life on a deeper level.

I enjoyed the challenging yoga moves with Padma before and after lunch. It was a beautiful day for me - an opportunity to take care of my wellbeing and remind myself of good practice that I can do at home, with kindness to myself.

I enjoyed the waves of peace relaxation; lovely! Loved the kosha talk and flowing tree  and pear tree. Loved the kosha talk and flowing tree and pear tree! The opportunity simply to 'be' in a class, rather than analysing and reflecting on teaching style, alignment points etc. The workshop was enjoyable, relaxed and designed to nurture us!

I was really delighted to be the recipient of the most wonderful Ayurveda massage while staying at the Lodge. I had travelled for hours from the north-east of Scotland, so my body was tired and I felt very ungrounded. Sandra gave me the most nurturing massage, which allowed me to rest very deeply and to sleep soundly afterwards. It was a little bit of heaven given by a very caring and attentive therapist. The room and the towels were warm and cosy and the smell of the oils divine. I felt very balanced and peaceful the next day. Thank you.

Overall the Spirituality of Yoga course was amazing, the teaching was so professional and I particularly liked the session outside in nature it broke up teaching inside and you really felt that you were there in the Welsh Valley. Everything was very clearly presented and at a great pace there was a lot of depth and it would be good to go into this deeper in our zoom groups. It has been such a wonderful support and continues to be so with the Facebook and zoom  groups I personally do feel I need help to solidify my practice not only from this course but the meditation teacher training that I am currently on.

These Dru Youth yoga retreats are so beneficial and have given me so much confidence to be my true self in everything I do and my everyday choices.
When I feel stressed or going through a rough time it is so amazing to remember that I have such a close support network from Dru  who all share their support, love and care with everyone whenever it is needed. This love, care and support is always reciprocated.
Dru Yoga courses are such an amazing experience to have. I think everyone would benefit from having an experience like that. They teach you so many stress-relieving techniques that everyone can benefit from.
The friends and memories you make at Dru stay with you for life.
I look forward to the Dru Youth course all year round

What I'll take from today's yoga postgrad workshop:- A found it a very holistic day. Sharing the teaching of postures with the others was very useful and I loved the Salutation to the 4 Directions. As usual, great resources and excellent teaching from Anne & Padma. Thank you.
